Congratulations to Dondy & Daimeion❤️ 07/04/26

A dreamy artistic project and pleasure to make this one for the happy couple! Dondy and I have known each other for many years living in Teton Valley and now us both having moved to Colorado, it was fun to connect and get to work together!

They chose one cake to be Lemon curd and fresh raspberries with vanilla chiffon and the other classic Opera cake with layers of almond cake, coffee Swiss meringue and dark chocolate ganache.

The 4th of July is just around the corner! ✨🇺🇸❤️🪀I’m excited to start baking up these festive mixed Berry macarons and other classic flavors special for the occasion.

Pre-orders are now open! They will be available for local pick up or delivery in Berthoud next Friday July 3rd! You can order them in bulk ($2.75/pc) or in gift boxes of 4pc ($12) 6pc ($18) and 12pc ($32). Minimum order for bulk is 2 dozen.

So nice to get back into the kitchen after spring break to bake this one for a special day this past weekend! I’m also grateful for the go ahead to have the free-flowing creativity with the flowers here. 🌸🌱 Creating them using palette tools is so satisfying😌 like painting on a canvas. I hope they loved it!

Soft swoops and Spring blossoms

Working on some wedding cake sketches this week…. I am inspired by the romantic and soft feel of this one made last May. There are so many styles of cakes out there and it’s important for me to create something unique to its own. Something that reflects the vision of my clients and of the flow of the creative process and the elements around me.

Working with Michelle, and bringing her vision to life for her wedding cake, was such a highlight on this project! 💕🌸

Creative perspective | Going into this cake design, I had a basic idea of some elements to use based on the graphics of the event, but was SO nervous actually going into it, not knowing exactly how it would turn out.

I think one of my favorite parts of designing is the happy “accidents” that happen. In the process of wrapping the fondant around the base tier, I had full intention of doing a clean cut around the rim, but as it came about, it felt better to ease into the natural lay of it then try to manipulate and cut to the shape. Just letting go and trusting that flow was the highlight of this project and I really enjoy that aspect of artistic creations like these!

It was such a pleasure to create this for the AMAZING cast of Shrek the Musical at the Center for the Arts in Jackson this past weekend.
