To honor a dancer's exceptional performance, presenting them with exquisite fresh flowers is a long-standing tradition that conveys pride and appreciation for their achievement, whether it marks their debut or final appearance.

Elegant, handcrafted arrangements will be available for purchase before and during the recital, alongside a build-your-own bouquet station.

Introducing the third installment in the Blue Ridge Studio 2026 Summer Programs series: Ballerina Bootcamp! In this week-long camp running from August 3-7 from 3-4 pm, dancers ages 8-12 will have the opportunity to engage in a full ballet class in order to sharpen up their skills and get back into the groove of things after the summer in preparation for the coming season of dance. Through an in-depth barre, challenging combinations across the floor and in the center, and strengthening exercises, students will develop and refine their technique while also learning new ways to maintain and grow their flexibility and strength outside of class. Ballet shoes, tights, a leotard, and hair put up in either a pony tail or a bun are all requested.

The Blue Ridge Studio is pleased to announce the second installment in our 2026 Summer Program series: the Fairytale Ballet Camp! This fun-filled camp is recommended for anyone ages 6-8 who has shown an interest in dance and runs from June 22-26 from 12-1 pm.

Each day, students will get to work their way through a different enchanting fairytale, such as Alice in Wonderland and Cinderella, by participating in reading time, in which we will read a shortened version of each of the stories, creating a simple yet fun craft, and engaging in an interpretation of the fairytale through dance. Students will learn about spatial awareness and movement quality as they dance with a variety of props to bring the story to life, while also integrating basic ballet concepts and techniques to introduce them to a typical dance class. By mixing fun activities like obstacle courses with more structured elements typical of an introductory ballet class, students will get a taste of our Beginning Ballet class that occurs during the school year while having fun with friends and their favorite stories! Ballet shoes and either a leotard or clothes your dancer can move in are required for participation.
