In June 2012, Flyleaf Theater Company mounted our very first production, "Songs for a New World". Seven years later, we are remembering our 18 main stage shows fondly as we close our doors this summer. Flyleaf welcomed over 120 unique performers on various stages, and more than 30 returned for multiple productions. Seventeen of these alums joined an enthusiastic packed house in the Napoleon Room at Club Cafe Boston this past Saturday to sing some numbers from Flyleaf's past.
Warm thank-yous to Kyle Carlson, Amanda Casale, Jane Clifford, Jessica DePalo, Carly Evans, Connor Fallon, Filipe Fernandes, Doug Ge**er, Michele Kerrigan, Lori L'Italien, Paul Lucenti, Anthony Masciangioli, Sean McLaughlin, Brad Robinson, Meghan Rose, Tristyn Sepersky, and Lydian DeVere Yard, for giving your voices to Flyleaf for our last night together.
It was bittersweet to end the night with "The Opening" from "Songs for a New World" - closing our Company with the very first number we ever presented to an audience. Featuring Amanda Casale, Anthony Masciangioli, Meghan Rose, and Paul Lucenti, with Jeff Kimball on piano.
We thank you all for an incredible 8 years - *time to fly*.
