Flyleaf Theater Company

Flyleaf Theater Company The Flyleaf Theater Company is a versatile ensemble striving to challenge the status quo of community theater.

The Flyleaf Theater Company, in an effort to provide diverse, high-quality theatrical productions, is an ensemble looking to collaborate with the thinking community. For a variety of reasons, too many risky and complex theatrical productions are kept from the public - theatre that inspires the actors, production staff, and audiences to imagine, analyze, question, and discuss the messages and meani

ngs of the scripts. The Flyleaf Theater Company wants to bring these productions to you, performed by small ensembles that have taken the time and put in the research necessary to deliver nuanced, thought-provoking performances. Participants in Flyleaf Theater Company productions will not only demonstrate preparedness in the presentation on stage, but also in the tangible and intangible understandings of the characters and meanings of each production.

In June 2012, Flyleaf Theater Company mounted our very first production, "Songs for a New World". Seven years later, we are remembering our 18 main stage shows fondly as we close our doors this summer. Flyleaf welcomed over 120 unique performers on various stages, and more than 30 returned for multiple productions. Seventeen of these alums joined an enthusiastic packed house in the Napoleon Room at Club Cafe Boston this past Saturday to sing some numbers from Flyleaf's past.

Warm thank-yous to Kyle Carlson, Amanda Casale, Jane Clifford, Jessica DePalo, Carly Evans, Connor Fallon, Filipe Fernandes, Doug Ge**er, Michele Kerrigan, Lori L'Italien, Paul Lucenti, Anthony Masciangioli, Sean McLaughlin, Brad Robinson, Meghan Rose, Tristyn Sepersky, and Lydian DeVere Yard, for giving your voices to Flyleaf for our last night together.

It was bittersweet to end the night with "The Opening" from "Songs for a New World" - closing our Company with the very first number we ever presented to an audience. Featuring Amanda Casale, Anthony Masciangioli, Meghan Rose, and Paul Lucenti, with Jeff Kimball on piano.

We thank you all for an incredible 8 years - *time to fly*.

To our dear Facebook supporters,

For those that don't already know, the Flyleaf Theater Company will be closing its doors, officially, in August of this year. The Company had a very successful run, including 18 main stage shows, several concerts and workshops, and three external partnerships with MIT, DVSN, and BTDC. Flyleaf welcomed over 120 unique performers on various stages and more than 30 returned for multiple shows. We will look back on our nearly eight seasons with the most fond of memories and it is with the happiest of hearts that we can remember Flyleaf for the wonderful success it was.

Thank you for an incredible 8 years.

Are you certain what you wish is what you want?
