HAPPY JUNE DAIRY MONTH!
I hope all of you get to go to at least one farm breakfast this month. It’s a great tradition in Wisconsin.
We were proud to host one here back in the day. The barn held 50 milking cows and the ceremony area was filled with Holsteins resting under the shade of that big old oak! I still have the cow records hanging on a clipboard in the lower level by the old milkhouse entrance purely for nostalgia’s sake. This time of year the kids were busy getting their fair cows ready for the show ring hoping to win that blue ribbon. Great memories, but time moves on and things change. Now we get to share our beautiful barn and outdoor spaces with others as a great place to celebrate life’s special moments. And almost every event includes dairy- from cheese trays to Mac n cheese to ice cream for dessert.

Today’s wedding had almost everything- beautiful weather, great family and friends, delicious food, lots of dancing, a caricature artist, gorgeous sunset and a crackling bonfire- what was missing? Alcohol. And you know what? It was a perfect day for a wonderful couple. Maybe more couples will start to understand that their wedding day doesn’t have to include it to be a fun and memorable event. Looking for a place with a large outdoor yard and patio area, and a big enough indoor space in case the weather doesn’t cooperate? With the tables, chairs and refrigerators we provide, it’s easy to have a large gathering at Farmview. We’ve even hosted celebrations that a couple of families went together on - we can accomodate up to 200! New restrictions in Wisconsin make it tough to find a place where you can save money by bringing your own food and refreshments including alcohol. Graduation party, reunion, or wedding- I have an opening in May and July of 2026 that allow for alcohol- and other openings for events with no alcohol. Contact us for more information.

I always tell people, my venue is a real barn on a real farm. For nearly a decade, it’s been my pleasure to offer an authentic agricultural event venue space to celebrate the most special times of your life. We provide your family and guests a unique chance to visit a small family farm and marvel at the architectural beauty found inside of a real barn and appreciate the gorgeous rural landscape. Just in! A May cancellation has opened up a wedding weekend here at Farmview! Can a wedding be planned in 3 months? Absolutely!! Especially with all the decorations we include. This opening is one that allows you to bring your own refreshments too- including alcohol. We are one of just a few places in Wisconsin to offer that option.
