As we enter the sacred season of Septuagesima, we begin our gentle turning toward Lent—a time of watchfulness, humility, and renewed hope. The Church invites us to slow our pace, quiet our hearts, and prepare anew for the great mysteries of Christ’s Passion and Resurrection.

You are warmly welcomed here to pray, to listen, and to walk this sacred journey with us. May the beauty of the liturgy lift your soul, and may this season deepen your longing for God.

“Set your hearts on the things that are above.”
Welcome, and may God bless you abundantly.

Jointly with the Collegium Institute for Catholic Thought & Culture, Durandus brings to you a choral Mass on the feast of St. Hildegard of Bingen: the renowned 12th century mystic, composer, and Doctor of the Church. Music will feature an all-women's schola to sing St. Hildegard's own Latin musical compositions throughout the liturgy, accompanied by medieval instruments of her era (harp, psaltery, hurdy-gurdy). A short talk on St. Hildegard's music will be given before the start of Mass, and a reception will follow outside. Location: St. Agatha-St. James Church, 3728 Chestnut St, Philadelphia (near the Penn campus).

Musician friends in the area and abroad, if you know anyone who is seeking a great church job with lovely music this is your place. Our director Guillermo M. Pasarin just sang there yesterday for Candlemas and it was absolutely stunning. Great people, good music, very nice pay. Shoot us a message if you are interested in joining a great cause and effort for the future of sacred music!
