A goal of mine this year as an artist is to just paint more. To help with that goal I am doing a 100 tiny painting g challenge. I have completed 7 out of the 100 so far. Creating art doesn’t have to be to always be something that turns into a masterpiece. It can be just be taking 15 minutes out of a chaotic life to just create and play. Each one of these took 15 to 20 minutes. Painting for me is a way to not only create, but take time out of my busy day to unwind.

As the final days of the Christmas Season unfold and the days grow slightly longer, the prospect of wrapping up in a blanket with a steaming cup becomes ever more enticing. Yet, my creative impulse is firmly rooted in the autumnal landscape.

For my parents' new home, they've requested several paintings, which has prompted me to ponder meaningful destinations we've explored as a family in New England.
