Hello, Dancers & Friends of The Sabah Ensemble! 💃🏽
Although we’ve been quiet here on FB these last couple of years, we’ve definitely not been silent or still!
While we continue to miss our beloved studio, we’ve remained active by hosting Circle Dancing on Zoom every solstice and equinox. The connection has been wonderful. The ritual has evolved a bit each time, getting more rich as we experiment with the format. There’s an altar set, a little grounding and meditation, time for sharing and checking in, and of course there is also some dancing! This spring, there was the addition of a small body warm-up before moving.
We’re not yet sure when we’ll return to the studio for in person Circle Dancing, but even when we do, we are considering continuing with the online version (separately/additionally) as well, as it gives us all such a wonderful opportunity to connect with ensemble members that are no longer local.
