Contemporary in house gallery showcases work of 20 ceramic artists-- Our Gallery is also open from 11:00 to 5:00 p.m.

The Berkeley Potters Guild, founded in 1971, is northern California's oldest and largest collective of professional ceramic artists. Our renovated warehouse accommodates nineteen private studios. Saturdays from February through late November; our Open House Holiday Show lasts from Thanksgiving weekend through December 23.

◾️ EAST BAY OPEN STUDIOS COMING UP ~ see Kristin Landowski’s sculpture along with an array of ceramics akin to modern day heirlooms filling studios open for touring & viewing, handmade by Guild clay artisans.

◼️ On Kristin Landowski’s sculpture ~
“Stoicism, the Sketches & Explorations of Dis-Ease: Allowing Space for Imperfection and Uncomfortability”

◾️ Landowski’s work explores the space of dis-ease with disease and the manifestation in the body, while in search of illustrating an understanding of the unimaginable. Their work addresses the raw experience both physical and emotional, allowing space for imperfection and uncomfortability, daring to be ugly, to refuse conventional beauty as a cure for female suffering. Landowski embraces the disease in a raw interpretation that avoids omitting personal illness narratives of people dealing or having dealt with breast cancer.
