Almazônica Almazônica, a dance collective, promotes the rich cultural roots of Brazilian dance and music through performance and classes.

Almazônica, a new dance collective under the direction of Felice Gomez, promotes the rich cultural roots of Brazilian dance and music through performances, classes and community events. Felice Gomez has been studying Afro-Brazilian culture and arts, including capoeira, samba and folkloric dances since 1998 in both the Bay Area and Brazil. Felice has studied most significantly under Tania Santiago.

She has performed with Tania's Aguas Dance Company for almost 15 years. Felice has also performed with Paco Gomes & Dancers, Ginga Brasil/Damasceno Dance Collective, Las Que Son Son, Amor do Samba, Capacitor Modern Dance, Olodum for their San Francisco show, and as a guest for Alayo Dance Company's Cuban cabaret show, Explosion Cubana.

One of my favorite shows every year inspired by the creative genius of Ramon & Jamaica. I've been blessed to perform in this show many times, and am especially excited to debut my own choreographic work this year!
