I'm pleased to announce the grand re-opening of Tin Can Singing Telegram's digital doors!
After receiving a call last week from a former Tin Can Singing Telegram customer determined to make her spouse’s birthday in their Brooklyn apartment a special one, my heartstrings were plucked and I agreed to write and perform my first singing telegram in years to a live, online surprise party. It was a hit and perhaps even more so because of the limitations, desperation, and invitations for resourcefulness and acts of generosity and kindness that this time beckons.
It has become clear that that customer speaks for many during this time as celebrations, transitions and acknowledgments continue. It was the call to duty that I needed to dust off my accordion and open the digital doors of Tin Can with a renewed sense of purpose and service.
To meet this moment as honestly as possible I've expanded services to include custom tailored, low-key acoustic guitar songs suitable for lullabies, bedside wishes and more somber events. For increased accessibility, Videograms and other online offerings are now priced on a sliding scale with trade offers accepted.
Nothing can replace in-person connection. However, sending an original song to your loved ones, digitally delivered and written on your behalf, might help make up for the deficit of corporeality with abundant sentimentality.
And so it goes...love in the time of Covid-19; let’s make it a bit more musical shall we?
