Thrive Dance Company We are UC Berkeley’s first and premier contemporary dance company!

Among dancers, there is a term called, “living.” We define living as a the extraordinary feeling shared by creatives who lose themselves in movement. In these fleeting moments, we are absent of thought, briefly relinquishing the body and mind to the will of self-expression. When we are living, we are our most present, our most focused, our most uninhibited by the state affairs outside of the space

The purpose of THRIVE Dance Company is to create a space where contemporary dancers may grow artistically, develop personal style, and connect with others who have a shared passion for contemporary dance. THRIVE believes that only through personal connection with ourselves and others in the form of movement can we as artists fully live.
