I've been working on a collection of poems to publish around the mining of the deep sea which has several international decisions this year, one of which was just made at the UN treaty negotiations. But I realized that I was staying silent on something else that was bothering me: Cruise Ships. Several of my loved ones utilize them and even some of the relatively famous people I adore do as well. But Cruise Ships, all of them, are absolutely horrid - horrid - for the environment. I learned this in college. And then, I guess I stayed silent hoping it had gotten better?
