As the 2020-21 school year ends, I am so excited to announce our cabinet for the 2021-22 school year!

HISTORIAN- Trent Ao

It has been an honor to serve the BSHS theater club as president since 2019, but the time has come to hand the reins over to next year’s president. I am proud of the theater revival that my class was able to facilitate, and I can’t wait to see what grades to come can do with the program!!

Like being scared??? just a little?? This incredible show was planned to be LIVE at the Ice House in what is to be the NEW theater space on the 2nd floor and then ZING! the Gov. said no live performances. So, here's the virtual plan. We'll bring it to your couch at home or a wonderful lodging space here in Berkeley Springs. 3 Edgar Allen Poe thrillers; one actor; one hour of fright! All for only $8 per household. What a deal!! Pick any one of 9 performances to watch including a midnight show on Halloween! Starts Thursday. Plan your viewing now!

AUDITIONS FOR PANDEMIC RADIO THEATER IN BERKELEY SPRINGS
It may take some creative thinking but continuing theater in this COVID-19 crisis can be done. MAC is holding open online auditions April 24 -May 2 for Pandemic Radio Theater a virtual Ice House Theater project for our current times.
Like everything else, the MAC's Ice House is closed but serialized radio drama has always been designed for what today is labeled a virtual audience. In keeping with safe practices, all casting, rehearsals and recordings will be conducted via email. The project is open to all ages from anywhere.
Voice recording is done by individual actors from their homes with suggestions provided on getting the best recording with equipment they already have. Most smart phones should be all that is needed. Once recorded, episodes are broadcast/released on the Internet for the world to enjoy. “It should be the biggest audience ever for an Ice House production,” said Brice Williams, project director.
