🗣️ NEW Teacher Alert! We are so excited to introduce our new Hip Hop teacher Miss Thalia ✨

Thalia Shaw (she/her) began her dance journey at the age of four, training and competing across California and Maryland in jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and tap. She was also a proud member of the acclaimed Savage Dance Company, two time winners of World of Dance NYC and NJ. In 2020, Thalia relocated to New York City to earn her degree in Global Public Health and Applied Psychology from NYU Steinhardt, where she joined, performed, and choreographed with NYU Pulse Dance Project dancers throughout her collegiate career, ultimately serving as President of the group during her senior year.

​A versatile performer and educator, Thalia spent five years teaching hip hop at a Midtown Manhattan studio and trained with the NYC-based competitive hip hop team, The Neighbors. Her performance credits include featured work in music videos, appearances on the Central Park SummerStage, and participation in nationally acclaimed dance projects. Currently, Thalia inspires the next generation of dancers as a Teaching Artist for the National Dance Institute, bringing accessible dance programming to NYC public schools. She is thrilled to join the PMDC faculty and share her vibrant passion for dance with the community 🩵
