Performing Arts 5678 provides expert instruction in Dance (Tap, Jazz, Broadway-Style, Ballet), Acting, Plays, & Musical Theatre for ages 4+. Classes are held outdoors on our professional dance floor when weather permits.

Three students. Three different journeys.

These three grew up taking classes at Performing Arts 5678—same stages, many of the same teachers and experiences… and today, they’re each following a very different path! ❤️

🌱 That’s what PA5678 is about: giving students a place to grow into confident, creative, disciplined and courageous young people—whatever path they choose.

🎭 Abi Weiss — Syracuse University | Broadcast Journalism
After 13 years at PA5678, Abi took her confidence, communication and performance skills into a completely different field.

🎬 Cali Pucci — Penn State University | Theatre & Film
After 12 years at PA5678, Cali continued her love of the performing arts at the collegiate level.

⭐ Sophia Lynn — IAMT → Utah Shakespeare Festival
After 13 years at PA5678, Sophia went on to professional musical theatre training and is now working as a singer, dancer and actor.

Some pursue performance professionally. Some continue studying the arts. Some take their skills into completely different fields.

There is no single definition of success—and no single path. ❤️

Meet Sophia Lynn!

At 5 years old, Sophia started dance class, adding Musical Theatre in 2nd grade. She trained with Performing Arts 5678 through senior year in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Musical Theatre—and says the studio was always her “happy place.”

As her training deepened, so did her opportunities. Summer shows and Holiday Carolers exposed her to professional-level choreography, while Musical Theatre classes helped her develop the ability to sing and dance (not just step-touch, lol) simultaneously—a skill that is essential in musicals.

After high school, Sophia attended the Institute for American Musical Theatre in NYC, graduating this past May. Today, she’s pursuing Musical Theatre professionally and performing in regional theatre, currently in 2 musicals that perform in rep at Utah Shakespeare Festival.

When asked what she learned at PA5678 that has stayed with her, her answer was simple: Discipline. Time management. Work ethic. ✨

She also credits mock auditions with helping her feel confident in the real world: “Because we did mock auditions in class, it helped make actual auditions easier.”

And what made PA5678 different? “Having an training from teachers with real-world experience, because we were really told what we needed to do to reach the levels we wanted.”

And yes… we had to ask what it was like growing up as the owner’s daughter. 😉
“I was pushed hard because I really had to EARN anything that came my way, lol. We were always aware that people might think I got favored, which wasn’t the case. I worked HARD.”

Everyone’s path is different. But the skills our students develop—confidence, discipline, creativity, work ethic, and perseverance—stay with them wherever they go. ❤️

ALUMNI UPDATE ✨ THEN → NOW: Meet Cali Pucci! ✨

Cali Pucci, originally from New Providence, NJ, started taking Musical Theatre classes with Jessica Lombardi when she was 6 years old because her mom thought it might be something she would enjoy. By 7 years old, Cali added dance training, looking forward to learning new skills.

Like many students, Cali applied the knowledge she developed at PA5678 beyond the studio, performing in local community theatres and in her high school shows.

Cali says one of the biggest things she learned at PA5678 was the value of hard work and teamwork.

Cali added: Putting in extra effort—like practicing dances at home—made a huge difference. And seeing how one person’s absence can impact an entire group taught her how important it is to show up for the people around you.

As a Junior in college, Cali is at Penn State University, double majoring in Theatre and Film, while also being part of a dance organization where she participates in showcases similar to PA5678 recitals.

Cali’s path is evolving. She says her theatre and dance background has given her a more well-rounded perspective than some of her peers—and the benefits extend far beyond the stage.

In fact, when asked whether her performing arts training has helped her outside of performing, one thing immediately came to mind:

“How easy interviews are for me.”

Because of auditioning from such a young age, Cali says she is comfortable in that environment. And the improv skills she learned through acting taught her to come up with ideas quickly and thoughtfully.

✨ ALUMNI UPDATE: THEN → NOW: Meet Abi! ✨

Abi Weiss, originally from New Providence, NJ, took classes at Performing Arts 5678 with Jessica Lombardi for 13 years! ❤️

At 4 years old, she wanted to “try dance”.

Over the years, she took ballet, tap, jazz, Broadway jazz, musical theatre, and hip hop.

Along the way, Abi also performed at local community theatres and in musicals at New Providence High School, putting the skills she learned at PA5678 to use beyond the studio.

Today, Abi is a sophomore at Syracuse University studying Broadcast Journalism, and she says her years at PA5678 gave her skills that have stayed with her:

✨ Time management
✨ Public speaking
✨ Confidence
✨ Comfort performing in front of people
✨ The ability to have fun and not hold herself back

When we asked what she would tell a parent considering PA5678, she said:

“I think they should definitely do it if they want a new way to make friends.”

That’s the thing about performing arts education: there isn’t one “right” outcome.

We don’t know where our students’ paths will lead. In her case, to the study of Broadcast Journalism!

And that’s the beauty of it. ✨

We don’t have a crystal ball. But what if…? ✨

What if this little performer in the wings today becomes the teenager who can’t wait to audition for their high-school musical?

What if the child who dances because it’s fun discovers a passion that brings true joy?

What if this is where it starts?

We don’t know where our students’ paths will lead. They don’t know, either.

But wherever they go, the confidence, creativity, discipline, collaboration, communication, and courage they develop here will go with them.

And if one day they decide they want to take the performing arts further?

We want them to be ready.

✨ What a way to wrap up our summer of musical theatre! ✨

We’re celebrating the final two musical theatre weeks of summer at Performing Arts 5678! 🎭

👑 CINDERELLA WEEK — Our 1st–5th graders learned an entire adaptation of this musical in just 12 hours! They sang, danced, acted, collaborated, adapted, supported one another—and brought Cinderella to life!

❄️ FROZEN WEEK — Our youngest performers, ages 4–7, explored the basics of musical theatre through acting games, choreography, music, creative activities, and the ever-popular Picture of the Day! Of course, there was plenty of Frozen singing and dancing along the way! 💙

Two very different age groups. Two very different programs. One thing in common: kids discovering the joy of performing. ❤️

We are so proud of everything our summer performers accomplished—and so grateful to all of the families who trusted us with their children this summer!

WE DON’T HAVE A CRYSTAL BALL... 🔮

Think about soccer.

When your child starts playing at 5 or 6, you don’t expect them to become a professional soccer player.

Same with music. When they pick up an instrument in elementary school, you’re probably not thinking, “Maybe my child will become a professional musician.”

But what if they do?

Why should the performing arts be any different?

Most children who dance, act, or sing will simply enjoy it as part of their childhood—and that’s wonderful.

The confidence, creativity, communication, discipline, collaboration, and presentation skills developed through the performing arts carry into school, high-school activities, college, job interviews, and life.

Maybe they simply love dancing.

Maybe they discover they love being in the high-school musical.

Maybe they love performing and never pursue it beyond high school.

But what if your child is one of the rare ones who wants to take it further?

Wouldn’t you want their foundation to be excellent?

At Performing Arts 5678, we believe in giving students a strong foundation from the very beginning—even when nobody knows yet where that foundation might lead.

Our students have trained with us from PreK through high school and gone on to professional careers and highly respected performing arts programs and universities, including IAMT, Elon, Syracuse, Otterbein, Penn State, and Manhattan School of Music.

They don’t need to know today where their path will lead.

But if that day comes, we want them to be ready.

Our Frozen Week performers (ages 4–7) spent the week singing, dancing, acting, creating, and making memories together! From choreography and theatre games to projection, stage directions, facial expressions, body language, and memorization, our young performers explored the building blocks of theatre. 🎭✨

We are so proud of their confidence, creativity, teamwork, and joy!
