Nunnbetter Dance Theatre (NDT) has been teaching and shaping young dancers since 1997. NDT is known for excellence in dance instruction, emphasizing proper technique and strong fundamentals which in turn has helped many of its students grow into beautiful and professional dancers. Nunnbetter Dance Theatre boasts an impressive list of alumni, including members of the Ballet Theatre of Maryland, The
Washington Ballet, Kansas City Ballet and Tulsa Ballet, to name a few. While Nunnbetter is known for excellence in ballet, the school also provides professional dance training in many other dance disciplines including Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Modern and Theater Dance. Current students have been seen on Broadway in Once, Matilda, The Lion King, The King and I, School of Rock, and in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. At our beautiful Bergen County studios, emphasis is on teaching correct technique in a welcoming, creative and fun environment where each student is encouraged to excel with proper guidance and inspiration from our professional staff. Students learn to develop a love for dance and an appreciation for the dedication and perseverance good dancing requires. Classes are of limited size so your child has the optimal dance instruction environment. Students enjoy many opportunities to demonstrate their accomplishments through performance; from our now famous annual 'Nutcracker' to our year's end recital to our annual 'Company' spring show. Guest master teachers are invited throughout the academic year from various prestigious dance companies, offering additional instruction and original choreographed works just for our students. NDT also offers a fun and comprehensive summer camp is available each year offering the different disciplines throughout a full day of dance, culminating in their participation in a public dance performance for families and friends.
