Pongyongs, bobbygongs, slimes...oh my!

Leave this world behind and step into "Artland," a colorful installation new to Crystal Bridges.

Created by Seoul-born artist Do Ho Suh and his daughters, "Artland" welcomes all ages. And you aren't just visiting “Artland.” You’re shaping it — literally. Sculpt anything you like out of air-dry clay and add it to this constantly growing artwork. Drop in anytime the museum is open and create a creature, a building, or whatever you can dream up.

Admission to "Artland" is free. You can find it in the creative learning Hub, a space built for community, learning, and hands-on artmaking. Make your mark during your next visit.

Three talented teams. Two states. One timeless masterpiece.

It takes a village to conserve and relocate a work as fragile and layered as “Mountain Landscape (Root Memorial Window).” Constructed in 1917 by Tiffany Studios, this stunning stained-glass window was designed by Agnes F. Northrop. Northrop crafted this work with natural lighting in mind. From warm sunrises to cool twilight hues, each time of day provides a new experience.

As Windgate Curator of Craft Jen Padgett says here, the relocation of this window from San Antonio to Bentonville took the combined efforts of Nzilani Glass Conservation, Sunset Ridge Church and Collective, and the team at Crystal Bridges.

Now at home in our newly reimagined Visions of America Galleries, you can experience this masterpiece for yourself on your next visit—or catch it during our Opening Celebration for our expansion on June 6th and 7th!

Bold. Unabashed. Colorful and critical.

This is “The Enforcer” by Jeffrey Gibson. Follow along as we unbox a work that packs a truly powerful punch.

After being selected to represent the United States at the 2024 Venice Biennale, Mississippi Choctaw and Cherokee artist Jeffrey Gibson researched the country’s founding documents, constitutional amendments, and prominent social movements to inform this physical exploration of American ideals.

With beads, ribbons, and a commanding ceramic form, “The Enforcer” pulls together Indigenous traditions, political history, and q***r culture to create a vibrant reflection on the ideals of American democracy—and just how far we are from fully reaching them.

A striking presence, this sculpture is difficult to miss. And layered with complexity, it demands a closer look. You can find “The Enforcer” on view in our permanent collection on June 6th, along with hundreds of other works featured in our expansion.

We’ve unboxed something big—monumental, even.

Nicholas Galanin crafted this towering sculpture from fragments of found imitation totems. He cut down and reassembled them into a powerful, disjointed monument that’s impossible to ignore. Cast in bronze, a material long used for historic monuments, this piece pushes back against ideas of who has typically been memorialized in American history. Here, Galanin explores what’s been broken, what remains, and how we rebuild.

You can experience “I think it goes like this (memory and interference)” on view in our newly reimagined Visions of America gallery today!
