The room breathed differently that evening—charged with the rhythm of shared visions and creative revelations. At our artist talk for Musings: Superficiality & Depth, I alongside .prints and unfolded our processes, speaking through different mediums - textile, charcoal, clay, bubble gum, cardboard, hot glue, potato chips, wood, crystal, time, etc. Being the curator, I had the joy of sharing the thematic core behind the show and how each voice contributes to this tapestry of vulnerability, inquiry, and materiality.
My huge appreciation goes to .dunbar for being a great moderator. You held it down! I'd have given you your flowers but I'm still waiting for my medal of honor 🤣

This place reminds me of Amphitheater in Obafemi Awolowo University, Not in physical features but how it contributed to my artistic development. From acting, to dance, to directing, to art direction. Ọmọ! That stage shaped men. and are the two people I wish I shared that stage with, but it is what it is. I hope to create some magic with them, and too. Maybe someday.
