So here's one that may feel like it's out of left field! ⁠

I've been stuck in my head too much these last few days and not really enjoying my time in the studio as much. I was so inspired by artist 's video on her YouTube channel about how to loosen up when you paint. All of her tips helped me have one of the most fun days in my studio I think I've ever had! THANK YOU, SANDI! ⁠

I started in my sketchbook and just let my brush do the talking. The little critter and the heart showed up as I was sketching out the design and I AM IN LOVE! Y'all. I can't stop with these! I'm feeling a whole new series coming alive and I'm having so much fun! ⁠

I also limited my color palette making all of my choices so much easier and creating a painting where all the colors just jive. ⁠
