Save the date: Sunday, October 25th - Our First Bloodbuzz Sunday Social Concert! With Dalton Domino!

One thing we’ve realized after doing these shows for a while:

We never seem to have enough time to actually hang out with the people who come to them.
There’s always music to get started, artists to take care of, doors to open, tickets to check, and before we know it, the night is over.

So we’re trying something a little different on Sunday, October 25.

Come out early. Stay awhile. Bring a lawn chair. Bring something to eat if you want, Bring a friend. Visit with people you’ve met at past shows, Meet some new folks.

We’ll spend the afternoon just being together — something we don’t get nearly enough of at our usual shows — and then we’ll wrap up the social and settle in for some great music from Dalton, a Texas-based singer-songwriter we’re really excited to bring to Bloodbuzz.

And because it’s Sunday, we’re making sure the whole thing wraps up with plenty of time to get home, get settled, and be ready for work and school Monday morning.

Think of it as a little Sunday afternoon gathering that happens to end with a great concert.
October 25. Come early. Hang out. Stay for the music.

This isn’t some sort of members only thing, nothing VIP about it. Everyone is welcome whether you’ve been to every Bloodbuzz show, or if this is your first.

SEPTEMBER 11 — John Moreland w/ John Calvin Abney
Only 5 tickets remain for this incredible intimate night of music at the Bloodbuzz House with 2 of our absolute favorites!

SEPTEMBER 30 — Dawn & Hawkes
Beautiful harmonies, great songs, and an intimate backyard setting. The kind of night Bloodbuzz was made for.

OCTOBER 9 — Kalyn Fay
An incredible Oklahoma songwriter and performer bringing some incredible music to the backyard.

OCTOBER 25 — Bloodbuzz Sunday Social
Something a little different. An afternoon hangout with good people, good conversation, followed by some great music from a Texas-based singer-songwriter we'll be announcing soon (or now, it’s Dalton Domino)! More info and tickets soon.

“I had no idea this was happening here.”

That is a sentiment we hear a lot when people first make it out to a show.

And honestly, that might be our favorite thing to hear.

Because Bloodbuzz isn’t really about one particular show, one particular artist, or even one particular backyard.

It’s about finding great songs, hearing them in a room where they can breathe, and discovering that some of the best nights of live music can happen right here in Northwest Arkansas.

So if you’ve been following along but haven’t made it to a show yet…

What would it take to get you through the gate?

A particular artist?
A certain kind of music?
A friend dragging you along?

Every Bloodbuzz show means something to us because every show is intentionally curated by us. Pairing the perfect opener with a perfect headliner.

But every once in a while, a show comes along that makes you stop and think about the whole journey that got you there.

September 11 is one of those nights.

John Moreland coming to Bloodbuzz is a big deal. A really big deal.

It’s the kind of show we dreamed about when this whole thing started — the kind of night that makes us stop and look at how far Bloodbuzz has come.

But we don’t want you to overlook the other John on that bill.

John Calvin Abney.

John Calvin played the very first Bloodbuzz backyard show in August 2022.

And he’s played a Bloodbuzz show every year since.

Every. Single. Year.

There’s a very good chance we wouldn’t be doing any of this if it weren’t for John Calvin, which actually started back in 2019 when we booked John Moreland for the first time at the Meteor Guitar Gallery.

That’s a story for another post.

Or maybe I’ll just tell it at the show.

And now, all these years later, we get to have John Calvin back on the Bloodbuzz stage, sharing the night with his old friend — and another artist who has become a huge part of our story — John Moreland.

That makes this more than just a big show for us.
It feels like a moment.

A look back at where we started, and a glimpse at where we’re going.

We’re incredibly proud of this one.

A place where live music feels right at home in Northwest Arkansas.

That’s what Bloodbuzz is all about.

Not another concert venue.

Not another place to check a show off your calendar.

Something smaller. Something more personal. Something that feels like you’ve been invited into the right room on the right night.

It means finding artists who have something to say and giving them a room where people are actually listening.

It means 50 or 60 people sitting close enough to see the expression on an artist’s face when they sing the song that means the most to them.

It means discovering someone you’ve never heard before and leaving wondering how you somehow missed them.

It means sitting under the lights with a drink in your hand. A drink you brought yourself, not one you were just charged $12 for, talking with people who love music as much as you do.

It means no velvet ropes. No VIP sections. No overpriced concessions. No giant room where you’re watching a screen from 200 feet away.

Just good music, good people, and a room where everybody came for the same reason.

To be there. To experience live music in a new way.

And maybe most importantly, it means you.

Because a place like this only becomes special when people show up.

The people who take a chance on an artist they don’t know.

The people who bring a friend.

The people who tell someone, “You’ve got to come check this out.”

The people who believe great music deserves more than a stage and a crowd.

It deserves a room.

It deserves an audience.

It deserves a community.

That’s what we’re trying to create here.
