This weekend at I57 Dragstrip. Please share. No box racers we got ya covered this weekend.

Friday.
Test/tune
$30 tech card
$5 gate. Kids 12 under free

Saturday.
With beacon Dragway running there top bulb race. We felt it unfair to run a points race on the same weekend. So. No points racing this weekend. But…. We also realize there are a bunch of bottom bulbers out there with no were to race. So. With that said we have upped the payout for bottom bulb for same entry fee this Saturday. We will still run our super pro, sportsman, trophy and junior dragster classes as well.

Gates at 1pm, time runs at 3pm
Racing at 5pm

$10 gate and kids 12 under free

Pro—$60 entry. $40 B/B
$2000 to win guaranteed

$500 runner-up and $150 for semis with over 45 entries. ($110 to double )

Super pro. $50 entry. $30 B/B
$1200 to win.
$300 runner up and $100 semis
All based on 32 cars.

Sportsman—$30 entry $15 B/B
80 % to win/ runner up

Jr dragster. $25 entry. $15 B/B
100 % entry payback win/runner up.

Trophy -$25 entry. $10 buy back
Test/tune —$30 tech card.

Bracket team finals at I57 update:

Still working on a bunch of items. Just wanted to share a few things and post a few Picts of the schedule, entry and crew fees. Plus the payouts.
Regarding racer payouts. The Friday gamblers race was and always has been a 70% pay structure. We left that alone.
On the main event due to no sponsor or track money from IHRA , we have to run it at 80% of entry fees collected. We left the entry fee for the main race the same it was as well.
There is a 1st rd buyback for the gamblers race on Friday and new this year is a re-entry no points round on the main event Saturday to give everyone a shot at the title.
I dropped the crew fees down as they were way to high the way it was with a single day, any day added. In years past you had to buy the whole weekend even if you were only spectating or crewing for one day. That was never fair and we adjusted that.
On the race of champions. Everyone please say thank you to Scotty Brewer of Bowlin funeral home, Dresden, TN. as he has graciously donated $500 for the super pro and $500 to the pro side. $300 for the sportsman side and $200 for the juniors. In years past, this free race of champions was a 3-4 rd race of the individual track champions with only a plaque to show for it. Now you guys have something real to race for. Thank you Scotty, you are a rock star.
On the note of thanks, thank you to Samantha from Gleason for helping with hotel info and other items. Thank you to Possum from Skelton for donating a barrel of glue to use that weekend helping us at I57 be able to put this on. Thank you to anyone else who has or will lend a hand as this is def a big project to undertake !!!!
With all that said, please read below in the pictures. I have discussed this with all track managers involved and we have agreed this is the best approach for this race. We also took input from racers we appreciate that as well.
I’ll have a complete copy of the rules, info and all things regarding the team finals sent out to each track by next week.
Any questions, just ask. We are extremely transparent and just want everyone to have a great time !!

Racers.
Regarding the earlier posts from the oil downs. The racer did stop out just now. He Apologized tremendously and feels horrible about this. Please refrain from anything negative towards him. He races here almost every week and supports this track !!!!
We as a track appreciate that and in no way are upset at him directly. We are just upset at the whole situation. There were numerous issues regarding vehicles not just 1.
This will end any posts regarding this situation. Let’s just race and have fun. But be safe about it.

I57 Points update.

Well my printer decided it was taking a vacation and I’m unable to print these and do my normal post.
Here’s the 1st page of each class showing the current standings.
I’ll have a full post with standings tomorrow.

FYI, due to severe oil down we were unable to finish this weeks race. No bonus points were awarded.

IHRA Team Finals update at I57 Dragstrip October 15-17th.

We got lots going on behind the scenes. Working on every aspect we can think of, so just a couple small updates with a bunch more coming soon!
Team size… all teams will be allowed 40 racers per team. To be submitted no later than Oct 9th. Once that list is submitted NO alternates allowed. We will race with the racers submitted.
Hotels… Samantha from Gleason is working on putting together a Hotel list and she is attempting to get some codes for us to share with yall. We should have that list out in the next couple days.
Race format… we are currently looking at the following weekend schedule… Thursday afternoon to evening test/tune and parking.
Friday morning time run and into Gamblers race. 1 buyback per entry 1st round only. Doubles allowed and will be called up 1st at each round.
Friday evening… Race of Champions (per class). Track class points champions only. Working on small sponsor for these classes to race for something. More on that soon.
Saturday main event. 1 time run. 1st rd re-entry with NO team points given in re-entry round. Race your way back in as all winners will come back for rd 2 and earn points.
Sunday is a rain make up / travel day.
We are also thinking of doing a run for the money for each class during the time runs. You do not have to enter, as everyone will get 1 time run. If you choose to participate we will collect cash only in staging lanes for these and you must have a dial in on car. Split 50/50 with track. best total package in each class wins.
Parking… we can hold 270 cars. Our issue is some areas are shorter or longer than others. In order to keep teams exactly together would be a logistical issue as teams have 80 ft and some have 60 ft rigs. So..in light of this. We will park you but it will be open pitting. I know yall love to race with your buddy, and I totally get that. Please be courteous to all racers and don’t pull your 80 ft in a big spot and save a big spot next to you for a 50 foot truck and trailer. We will move you if we need the longer space. We are all adults, I think you all can work together on this.
We are working on trophy’s for this race, as of now Ironmans are no longer available. But, we are looking for anyone that could make us an awesome custom trophy for the overall winning team. If you know of anyone that can pull this off please reach out to me.
World final requirements…in speaking with Bill Bader, he wants to keep the world finals as true to the IHRA rules as possible to reward those racers that followed the license requirements. Therefore all qualifying winners of teams or track points must have or had a IHRA License by July 1st as originally stated to attend the World Finals. 2026 Expired or expiring licenses will be accepted and tracks will be reaching out to these racers to verify. See email below from Bill regarding this.
Hope this gives you all a glimpse into what’s coming. A lot of hard work from a lot of people has already gone into this and I can’t say thank you enough to them !!!!
