The North Carolina State Annual Singing Convention Board of Directors is thrilled and honored to announce that legendary recording artist, Bill Gaither and his multi-Grammy Award winning Gaither Vocal Band will be featured at Winter Break 2027 at The Farm in Selma, NC on Thursday, February 18.
For nearly half a century, Gaither has been a musical trailblazer. Together with his life-long songwriter partner and wife, Gloria, the two have collectively written more than 900 songs and were honored to be named ASCAP Christian Songwriters of the Century. The couple’s reputation as performers, songwriters and mentors for newly-discovered artists is known world-wide. Their beloved series of Homecoming CDs and DVDs continues to top the sales charts and attract an ever-increasing audience. Honors and accolades have flowed their way in bunches, including nearly two dozen Grammy nominations over the past six decades. Considered one of the oldest musicians still actively touring, recording and performing, Gaither, who turns 90 in March of 2026, continues to possess an energy and excitement that amazes industry leaders, fellow singers and musicians, as well as bandmates who have the privilege of stepping on stages all across the country with him night after night.
The NC State Annual Singing Convention Board is truly delighted to bring this legendary recording artist, who has penned such classics as Because He Lives, He Touched Me and Family Of God, to Johnston County for this unprecedented event on February 18, 2027.
In an effort to offset the expenses of this event, the Board is seeking table sponsorship from area businesses. The intimate setting of The Farm in Selma limits capacity at 300, and due to the overwhelming popularity of Bill Gaither and the Gaither Vocal Band, plans are set for an evening concert, as well as a matinee performance. A catered meal will be served prior to both concerts and will be provided by The Farm House, in Newton Grove, NC.
Area businesses who have already committed to sponsorship for the 2027 event include Deacon Jones Auto Group, Robuck Homes and The Thomas Parker Realty Group. Additional sponsorship is available, and we hope your business will partner with these fine companies and the Convention Board and consider sponsoring the event. The NCSASC is a 501c3 US nonprofit, tax-exempt entity.
For over 100 years the NC State Annual Singing Convention Board has been committed to presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ in song, as it has promoted the NC State Annual Singing Convention each June in Benson for 105 years. In 2023, the Board began hosting Winter Break in an attempt to present a first-class, affordable, intimate setting where Gospel music lovers could enjoy a delicious meal and an evening of wonderful Christian entertainment. Each event has enjoyed sold crowds, delighting attendees, who leave saying, “When can I get tickets for next year.”
