NEWS ABOUT YMCA360
When to Register: Reservations for group fitness classes now utilize rolling open enrollment, opening one week before each class.
For example, if the class you would like to attend is on Friday, reservations will open the Friday prior. The YMCA360 app will also state the date reservations open.
Month-Long Class Registrations Are No Longer the Norm
When you make a reservation for a class, the reservation only applies to that day's class.
This gives members more flexibility with their schedules. It offers an opportunity to try new classes without a month-long commitment and plan around appointments or vacations.
GROUP FITNESS POLICIES
With the exciting launch of the YMCA360 app, the BFYMCA is taking the opportunity to introduce some new policies. We hope they will facilitate a positive member experience for our group fitness participants.
Tardiness Policy: Members who are more than five minutes late to a group fitness class will forfeit their spot.
This will allow people on the waitlist to take part in the class while preventing disruptions that would take focus away from the exercise.
Cancelation Policy: Members can now cancel their own classes. If members are registered for a class and can no longer attend, they can cancel their reservation by following the same steps they used to register.
Instead of seeing a "Reserve" button, there will now be a "Cancel" button on the app.
No Show Policy: Members who no-show to group fitness classes three or more times in a month will be removed from any classes they are currently registered for to make room for waitlisted members.
If removed from a class, members are welcome to re-register if spots are available. This policy will not prevent members from registering for classes in the future.
Cancelations are not no-shows, and they do not count toward this policy.
Cell Phone Policy: Cell phone usage in class is up to the instructors' discretion. Please be mindful of distracting other participants.
