Today, we remember Arthur Isaac Stern (18 June 1950 - 22 September 2021), an architectural glass artist who approached his craft with the intention of a jazz artist, always playing with organic elements in new combinations, expanding his design vocabulary, and refining the theme of frozen music in his prodigious body of work. He found inspiration everywhere but most often in music and the friendships it brought him.
Arthur would sometimes compile a playlist to mark an important occasion. To honor this third anniversary of his transition, check out the brand new release, entitled ‘The Set’ from Jerry Douglas, master Dobro and lap steel guitar player and producer. The reimagined version of “What Might Have Been” features the brilliant Aoife O’Donovan on vocals.
