As part of the Ensemble in Young Frankenstein, Nicholas Phillips helps bring the wonderfully wacky world of Transylvania to the stage, where suspicious villagers, outrageous musical numbers, and plenty of monstrous surprises await!

As a dedicated saxophone player of nearly 20 years, Nick has played in coveted national events such as the Rose and Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parades with the Hawai’i All State Marching Band. His passion for music has also taken him to performing in Reno, Sydney, and Disneyland in Anaheim. While attending the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa in pursuit of his Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Arts with a Graphic Design focus, Nick gained theatrical experience participating in the pit orchestra for the university’s production of Sunday in the Park With George. He is excited to make his onstage musical debut!

Meet Brad Knowles as Bertram Batram / Ensemble in Young Frankenstein!

From suspicious villagers to the musical madness unfolding onstage, Brad helps bring the wonderfully wacky world of Transylvania to life. With Mel Brooks at the helm, you never know what might happen next!

Brad Knowles is having a monstrously good time as part of the ensemble in Young Frankenstein. Recent credits include Nick Noir in Death by Chocolate, assistant directing Boeing Boeing, Ken Gorman in Rumors, Van Helsing and Mina in Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors, the mysterious Mr. Paravicini in The Mousetrap, and the conniving playwright Sydney Bruhl in Deathtrap. He is thrilled (and terrified) to sing and dance his way through the show, and hopes you enjoy every electrifying minute. Look for him this spring when he directs Neil Simon's Fools for Sunriver Stars.

Meet Dustin Jorgensen as The Hermit / Ensemble in Young Frankenstein!

As a lonely, blind hermit, Dustin brings one of the show's most hilariously disastrous encounters to life. When an unexpected visitor arrives, his good intentions lead to some unforgettable mishaps!

Dustin is delighted to join the cast of Young Frankenstein. A lifelong Mel Brooks fan, Dustin grew up on a steady (and probably developmentally questionable) diet of Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs, and Robin Hood: Men in Tights, making this show particularly fun for him. Locally, he has performed with OperaBend, Central Oregon Mastersingers, Thoroughly Modern Productions and Cascade Theatrical Company. He considers appearing in a Mel Brooks musical the natural culmination of a childhood very well misspent. He is grateful for his wife and children for their (also possibly misspent) support of his theatrical pursuits.

Meet Steve Herron as Inspector Kemp, the no-nonsense village inspector who's determined to keep the Frankenstein family legacy from causing any more trouble. But in a Mel Brooks musical, keeping order is easier said than done!

Steve Herron (Inspector Kemp) is delighted to appear in his fifth Cascades Theatrical Company show, having previously appeared in The Haunting Of Hill House (Dr. Montague), The Prom (Barry Glickman), Agatha Christie's Go Back For Murder (Philip Blake), and Fiddler On The Roof (Lazar Wolf). He's been involved in musical theater throughout his life, most recently having appeared in Rosie The Riveter (Eddie), Prince of Egypt (Hotep), Rocky Horror Show (Dr. Scott), Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Potiphar), Rock of Ages (Hertz Klinemann), Cabaret (Herr Schultz), and Annie (Ensemble). Besides being active in theater, Steve also enjoys playing music and spending time with family -- especially his grandkids! He thanks the director, production team, crew, and his castmates for such a spooktacular Halloween Season production!

IT'S ALIVE… AND IT'S HILARIOUS!

Mel Brooks takes the classic Frankenstein story, adds a monster with some unexpected talents, a very questionable laboratory assistant, and enough ridiculous mishaps to make you wonder who the real mad scientist is.

Meet Maggie Calder as Elizabeth Benning in Young Frankenstein! Frederick Frankenstein's high-maintenance fiancée has a flair for the dramatic, a love of luxury, and a few surprises up her sleeve!

Maggie is truly grateful for this opportunity to take on the challenge of lovely Elizabeth. This experience has allowed her to grow exponentially as a performer, and she’s beyond excited to be apart of this story. Her theatre experience includes The Wedding Singer (Ensemble, CTC), Once (ASM, The Greenhouse Cabaret), The Wolves ( #7, The Greenhouse Cabaret), Grease (Jan, CTC), and more! Meet Jake Morrison as The Monster in Young Frankenstein! Brought to life by Dr. Frankenstein, this lovable creation is about to prove there's more to him than meets the eye.

Jake is thrilled to make his debut as the Monster in Young Frankenstein, a role requiring years of preparation, including lifting heavy things, grunting, and mastering the delicate art of entering a room like he has absolutely no idea where he is. He dedicates this performance to everyone who has ever been called a monster when they were really just misunderstood. Please remember: he may look terrifying, but he’s actually very sensitive. Jake hopes you enjoy the show. He cannot read.
