I’m an abstract landscape painter living and working in Bend, Oregon with my husband, Beau, and two daughters, Miles and Emerson. I fell in love with drawing and painting at a young age and feel most alive when I’m in the process of creating. My family and I spend a lot of time outdoors, so my paintings are inspired by the colors and compositions that have captivated us while on our adventures. My

hope is to capture a tiny bit of the beauty that’s all around us and help you bring it to your home. I currently create original paintings on canvas which I then make into print reproductions to accommodate most all budgets. I feel passionately that art should be both beautiful and accessible, which is why I love offering prints as well as originals. When I’m not working in the studio, I enjoy mountain biking, trail running, skate skiing, drinking a cold beer in the sunshine, and spending time at local parks and playgrounds with my friends and family. It’s fine. :)

I recently started reading The Creative Act by . I’m only a few chapters in, but this quote resonated so deeply with me:

The ability to look deeply
is the root of creativity.
To see past the ordinary and mundane
and get to what might otherwise be invisible.

I believe this wholeheartedly. My ability to create has everything to do with my ability to notice, to pay attention, to find beauty in my everyday surroundings. And then to take all of that “noticing” and interpret it in the form of a painting.

Take time to notice the colors, shapes, and compositions around you. Pay attention to how the light subtly changes the color of the objects it hits. Not only is this a good mindfulness practice, but it’ll help you in your creative pursuits — whether that be in traditional forms of art, how you dress, how you decorate your home, whatever it may be. 🫶

A little close-up moment for "Sahalie Falls". ✨

Any Oregon movie buffs may recognize this as the same waterfall that Sassy falls down in the movie Homeward Bound, which was the quintessential movie from my childhood. I may or may not have watched it again with my girls this past weekend, and I may or may not have cried real tears at the end. Actually, let me rephrase that…if you can sit through that movie and NOT cry real tears, I think you might be a monster.

"Sahalie Falls" is a 16x20, acrylic and goauche on canvas, framed in a douglas fir float frame. The original has sold, but prints are coming soon! 🫶

First new original painting in 2024 just hit the shop! "Mount Washington" is a colorful view of....you guessed it...Mount Washington, from Big Lake here in Central Oregon. My family and I camped at this spot last summer and it was pure magic.

All your favorite prints, now available on unstretched canvas!! My canvas prints have historically come stretched, meaning they're stretched over stretcher bars and ready to hang on your wall. So why would you ever choose an unstretched canvas print? I AM SO GLAD YOU ASKED.

I like to think of unstretched canvas prints as being just like paper prints, but you can frame them without the glass. You know that pesky glare that prevents you from even seeing your artwork? No more. Canvas also provides yummy texture that makes the prints look even more like originals.

Speaking of making them look even more like originals, you can add embellishment to these beauties to take them even more over the top. And while the original stretched canvas prints are still a great option, these unstretched versions are a lot more affordable.

ALL OF THIS TO SAY, the next time you're browsing in the print shop on my website, you'll be able to select whether you want your print to be on paper, unstretched canvas, or stretched canvas, and whether or not you want me to add any hand-embellishment. So many choices, but you truly can't go wrong with any of them.

What a week! Huge thanks for all the love during this year's Holiday Sale. It's been another one for the books! We've got two more days left...sale ends tomorrow at midnight.

Nov 27th (TOMORROW!): last day of the holiday sale and the last day to order a stretched canvas print and have it arrive by Christmas.

I'm sure you're getting inundated today, so I'll keep it brief. You can shop the holiday sale through this coming Monday at midnight PST. My advice? Take a deep breath, log off, and do your shopping in a few days after your family has gone home. 🫶
