Art in the Pacific North Wonderland
Welcome! My name is Holly and I'm an artist from the Pacific Northwest - born and raised in the Willamette Valley, Oregon. My preferred medium is acrylic but I also enjoy watercolor, ink drawing, and calligraphy. Most of my skills are self-taught. I did take art classes in high school (which is when I fell in love with acrylics) but stopped painting for a several years post-grad.
It took some soul-searching, but I finally picked up a brush again - and I haven't set it down since! In April of 2016 I joined VOICES Gallery on the Corvallis Arts Walk and I fell in love with the Corvallis art scene. Voices and CAW have created more opportunities for me than I can count, and I enjoy it so much!
In October 2017, Sharon Rackham King (fellow Voices member) and I joined forces to open The Hold Studio and we became our own destination on the Corvallis Arts Walk! Usually, we display our own work, but we are excited to curate several different shows/local artists beginning in 2018. As we manage The Hold, Sharon and I are still very active members of Voices Gallery.
