Hi Fam -

RJ here. This is one of my first times of sharing a video in this way, but I wanted you to hear some Bend Pride updates from me. As many of you know I am the Board President of Q***r Creators Collective. In a super short period of time we have been taking on the hosting of Pride and we are excited about that.

One of the core values of ours at QCC is safety. We have been working closely with Bend Parks & Rec and there are a few logistics pieces to using Drake Park that we can’t get around to create a space that we are comfortable with in order to host Pride. We are super grateful for their partnership and support through this process.

With that, Pride is being moved from Drake Park on June 24th, 2023 to Central Oregon Community College. All of the logistics remain the same. We kick off our festival at 11:00am. We have food, drinks, tons of vendors, an amazing line-up of entertainers, and a space we are excited for you all to be a part of.

While we recognize this is an unexpected change to Pride, I just want to say thank you for trusting me and my team in making decisions that we believe are best for the safety and accessibility of Pride for all of you.

We’ll be sharing a post after this with all of the updated details, so stay tuned for that. See you at Central Oregon Community College for Pride on June 24th at 11am!

QCC is excited to partner with Branch+Barrel for Central Oregon's 2023 Summer Pride! Branch + Barrel is a q***r-owned artisanal jewelry brand based in Bend, Oregon. All of their pieces are handmade and sustainably sourced by artist and founder Laura Nolan, making each item you purchase one of a kind.

As we get closer to Summer Pride 2023, we at QCC would like to share and highlight the business and organizations that are sponsoring the event in Drake Park, on Saturday, June 24th. QCC is honored to be the host of the 2023 Bend Pride!

What can you expect this year?
First we kick off with the Be Gay 3k that lands you right at the start of the festival. The 3k has a registration fee of $25 that gets you a fancy new hat, a Pride beer from Cascade Lakes Brewing and more goodies!

Then, with over 70 booths of local q***r or allied artists, supportive businesses and health organizations, multiple food and beverage stations, youth-focused pop ups, incredible musical guests and our very own Pride beer by Cascade Lakes Brewing, its going to be one giant party! With increased security measures and a bold Gay Agenda, come get loud with your community and then head to the other incredible events being hosted throughout the weekend!

Bend Pride is a FREE event for ALL ages.
Pride this year has been funded by you, our q***r and allied community. Not only did you raise funds to make the festival safer, brighter and louder, you raised scholarship money for young q***r artists seeking an education in the creative arts. Go you! Our world will grow into the bright, inclusive and accessible future we've all been dreaming of because of how you showed up this year.
