From rehearsal to performance, every creative journey deserves a place to grow. 🎭

The vision for the Central Oregon Center for the Arts is a comprehensive performing arts campus where creativity can thrive at every stage - from first rehearsals to opening night.
COCA will feature a state-of-the-art mainstage theater, flexible black box performance spaces, rehearsal rooms, visual arts galleries, education and youth arts facilities, and outdoor performance areas designed for festivals and community events. With modern comfort, accessibility, and thoughtful design throughout, it will be a welcoming place for artists, students discovering their creative voices, and audiences from across Central Oregon.

A place where ideas begin, artists grow, and performances come to life. ✨

In 2022 alone, nonprofit arts and culture generated $46.9 million for the Central Oregon economy. Audiences spent an additional $19.2 million locally on dining, lodging, shopping, and more.

A thriving arts scene strengthens businesses, attracts visitors, and builds vibrant communities.

Q: Why does Central Oregon need a dedicated performing arts center?

A: Simply put, demand has outgrown capacity. Our local arts organizations are vibrant and active, but most of them are performing in venues that are too small, overbooked or not designed for audience comfort, professional acoustics and stage production.

A dedicated center will:

👉️Provide modern comfort and convenience for audiences and performers
👉️Provide local groups the space and technical capability they need to thrive
👉️Allow touring performances and larger productions to come to Central Oregon
👉️Serve as a cultural and educational hub for artists, students and audiences
👉️Strengthen our economy by attracting visitors and cultural tourism

Behind the scenes, a dedicated team is thoughtfully guiding the research, relationships, planning and collaboration needed to move this vision forward with care and intention. This work is laying the foundation for a major milestone ahead - one that will bring a long-held community dream into clearer focus.

In early 2026, we’ll be ready to share something we’ve been working toward for years: the future home of the Central Oregon Center for the Arts.
