The surviving members of Soundgarden—Kim Thayil, Matt Cameron, and Ben Shepherd—are set to reunite for a special halftime performance during the Seattle Seahawks' home opener at Lumen Field on September 9.
The band will be fronted by The Pretty Reckless vocalist Taylor Momsen, with Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready joining to provide additional guitar. McCready is also slated to perform the National Anthem prior to kickoff as the defending champion Seahawks take on the New England Patriots.
This performance marks the band's first time taking the stage together since their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction in November 2025, where Momsen also joined them on vocals. Meanwhile, Cameron recently confirmed that the band's final album featuring vocal tracks recorded by the late Chris Cornell is currently in the mixing stages.
Will you be tuning in to watch Soundgarden, Taylor Momsen, and Mike McCready take the field in Seattle?
