Meet The Artist: Abigail Jane Stockamp

Abigail was born in Joplin, Missouri and went to John Brown University for a degree in Biology and minor in Psychology. Though she studied science, she also took several art classes and helped pay for her education through commissioned artwork. After graduating, she worked mainly in outdoor science education and natural resources, traveling from rural Northe

rn California, to Michigan, to the San Juan Islands in Washington, and the Oregon Coast in Newport. In 2019, she settled in Bend, Oregon and has thrived in the mountains and rivers since. Throughout her work, Abigail has always loved art and enjoyed it as a hobby. Over time, though, she has taken it as her main work and has illustrated a children’s book, fulfilled commissions, and painted a variety of pieces inspired by nature. Abigail is also a lover of running, and participates in ultra trail races and trains year-round. Running is a huge source of inspiration for her art, as she spends so much time outside exploring our beautiful world. Among Abigail’s breadth of work in her art are realistic landscapes, abstract landscapes, illustration, pet portraits, and pencil pieces. Abigail lives in the woods with her husband, Mark, and their rescue dog, Goose. She also enjoys spending time outside, sewing, gardening, playing guitar, backpacking, paddle boarding, reading, and eating all the sweet things her husband bakes.

Hi friends!

It’s been a busy yet cozy season and it’s winter solstice— the shortest day and longest night. I hope you can find time to slow down and snuggle up with your favorite warm beverage, people, or four-legged pal.

I wanted to announce that my website has been fully uploaded with all my products and product photos— a long process in the making! While shopping online now will not guarantee things for Christmas, you’re still welcome to peruse and explore my wares.
