Community Theatre Players Bringing live, local theater to the Ben Avon area since 1989. We have been staging productions in Ben Avon since 1989.

Community Theatre Players is an organization that seeks to give interested persons the opportunity to participate in the staging and performance of plays and to offer the community at large quality theater productions on a regular basis. Currently, we produce one major play in the fall and several smaller events throughout the year. We are always looking for people to work at all levels of product

ion, including actors, set constructors, painters, decorators, costumers, stage crew, lighting, sound, ushers, and many other roles. Now that you’ve met our cast of American History in 60, it’s time to introduce our director (who also doubles as our narrator), Mace Porac!

Mace is delighted to bring to the stage this hilarious re-imagining of America’s history. She thanks the cast for their enthusiasm and willingness to bring iconic historical figures to life. The audience will be thrilled by their talent and skill.
A longtime member of Community Theatre Players, Mace adapted and directed the majority of CTP’s live and virtual readings. As an actor she has appeared at Comtra, Stage 62, Iron Horse Theatre, Throughline Theatre, and with the Bobcat Players and the Heritage Players. Happy Birthday, America!

Showcasing our cast of American History in 60!! Today we are celebrating Jennifer Welch, another newcomer to CTP! Jennifer is portraying multiple characters throughout history:

Jennifer caught the Acting Bug at a very young age taking classes at the Pittsburgh Playhouse. She appeared in numerous plays there and all over the Greater Pittsburgh Area. Some of her favorite roles were Daisy Mae in Lil Abner and Snowball and Storyteller in Animal Farm. Jennifer loves to be outdoors and has a passion for gardening and traveling to far away places. A gigantic heartfelt thank you to my husband Jeff and my entire family for all of their love and support.

Showcasing our cast of American History in 60!! Today we are celebrating CTP veteran Samantha Carpin! This is her third show with CTP and last appeared in our most recent production, Instant Austen, in the fall. Samantha is portraying multiple characters throughout history:

Samantha is excited to return to the CTP stage for this fun, quirky take on American history! Her past CTP projects include Instant Austen and Harvey. She has also graced the stage with local companies including Gemini Children’s Theater, the Heritage Players, Paragon Studios, and Stage Warp productions.

Showcasing our cast of American History in 60!! Today we are celebrating Jenn Rian who is new to CTP! Jenn is portraying multiple characters throughout history:

Jenn Rian (Actor 2 | Donna Delvecchio | John Hancock | Charlie Dunbar | Kelsey | South | 1920s) is making her Community Theatre Players debut. She recently appeared in R-ACT Theatre Production’s March 2026 premiere of Murder Under the Big Top. Among her favorite roles are Marie Antoinette in The Revolutionists, Bella Manningham in Gaslight, and Lizzie Curry in The Rainmaker, all with R-ACT; Mary Pringle in Soldier, Come Home with Little Beaver Historical Society; and Sandra in The Play That Goes Wrong with Center Theatre Players.
Jenn has worked with community theaters and art organizations throughout Beaver County and Pittsburgh, including R-ACT, Center Theatre Players, The Bobcat Players, The Genesis Collective’s Community Theater Project, The Social Voice Project, and Prime Stage Theatre. She has been a member of R-ACT Theatre Productions for ten years and has served on its executive board for the last three.

Showcasing our cast of American History in 60!! Today we are highlighting CTP veteran Jenny Louise! She last appeared in our 2024 production of Will and we are so happy to have her back! Jenny is portraying multiple characters throughout history:

Jenny Louise is delighted to be back at Community Theater Players for her second show! Her previous appearance was as a 30-year-old Sarah in Will by Lila Louise Nawrocki. Other roles include Catherine in A View from the Bridge with Renegade Theater NYC, performances with Shakespeare in South Park, and singing roles with Pittsburgh Savoyards and Undercroft Opera.
She was the lead in two 48 Hour Film Project films last year, Death Penalty and No. 6. Jenny is currently producing a short film that she wrote, which she hopes to shoot this year.
In her spare time, Jenny enjoys spending time with her dog, Roxie Balboa, her cat, Henry Hamlet, and her two adorable nieces. She is also an avid vintage fashion lover and enjoys incorporating vintage pieces into her fits. Jenny loves bringing laughter and uplifting others, and hopes this production brings joy to the audience.

Showcasing our cast of American History in 60!! Today we are celebrating newcomer Shiloh Oliver! Shiloh is portraying multiple characters throughout history:

Shiloh Oliver is delighted to return to the stage with his first CTP project. He is excited to make audiences laugh with his take on these characters. His last stage performance was at the Pittsburgh New Works Festival. He has studied at the Donna Belajac Actors Studio and at the Steel City Improv. He would like to thank the cast and crew for their expertise and guidance. He and his partner are extremely excited to welcome their first child later in the summer.
