Smash Art was a big hit at Bemidji State University’s Sunsplash event last week!
Many thanks to the Student Center For Health and Counseling for supplying me with many colors of tempera paints, poster paper, glitter, a water bucket, t-shirts, hand wipes and paper towels that were needed to complete the Smash Art assemblage. Also, many thanks to Muriel Kingery of the Hobson Memorial Union at BSU for approving of Smash Art and for providing a perfect area for Smash Art to take place at Sunsplash.
My connection with the Student Center for Health and Counseling is due to the fact that I worked for the school year as an emergency hire clinical trainee providing counseling in combination with elements of art therapy learned from my M.A. in Art Therapy. I am grateful for that opportunity to learn and connect with the community of BSU.
Looking forward to more opportunities to bring Smash Art to Bemidji! 🎨🥊💥✨
