SEEKING MUSICIANS AND SONGWRITERS!
I am currently writing music for an upcoming band project, and am looking for musicians, preferably with some songwriting ability as well, to form this group.
The general "genre" of the music is Psychedelic Southern Rock/Punkabilly, with heavy Noir Jazz and Texas Swing influence.
Major Influences to the sound of this band/genre include (but are not limited to):
The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis,
Demented Are Go, Flametrick Subs, Johnny Cash, Little Richard, Jimi Hendrix, The Byrds, The Allman Bros. Band, C,S&N, Wanda Jackson, Billy Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Henry Mancini, Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass, Al Hirt, Ray Charles, Wilson Picket, Stevie Wonder (mostly the early stuff), Janis Joplin, Aerosmith, Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, Buck Owens, Pink Floyd, CREAM, Steve Miller, Bob Seger, The Ramones, The Grateful Dead, The Moody Blues, Lassie On Acid, The BIG BOYS, Poison 13, MISFITS, Danzig, Samhain, Roy Orbison, Marty Robbins, Mance Lipscomb, Jim Croce, CCR, George Straight, Dwight Yoakum, Bill Monroe, Jim and Jesse, Scruggs & Flatt, Old and in the Way, PRIMUS, The Old 97's, Lo**ta # 18, etc etc etc.....
--This is a broad-based, Americana-type sound that incorporates many very different styles and attempts to produce something crisply unique, but nostalgically familiar to all who love Rock&Roll and authentic "music of the soul".
I am planning on providing lead vocals and other instrumentation where needed, but would strongly prefer Not to have to play an instrument on every song. Thus, I am looking for GUITARISTS, BASS GUITARISTS, DRUMMERS, PIANISTS/ORGAN/SYNTH KEYS, VARIOUS HORNS (i play trumpet and some trombone, as well as a bit of reed flute), AND FOLK STRINGS (BANJO, MANDOLIN, STEEL GUITAR, DOUBLE BASS, ACCORDION, etc).
Please send a message on fb, or email to

to contact me about meeting and jamming. I am currently constructing some basic "scratch tracks" of some of the songs I have written. Though I am writing a good bit of the music, I MUCH PREFER if the long-term songwriting be a collaborative effort, as this tends to create a more cohesive sound and internal love for the music as a collective effort.
thanks for listening and stay tuned!
