Go Tio! In California, "diversity" means family. It's reflected in everything from our fusion cuisines and musical tastes to our global mindsets. We are the whole world compressed into a single glorious sunshine state. This election was not just about trust and experience (and missing Biden); it was also a referendum against the terrorist tactics of ICE, which broke from its due-process-and-American-law-enforcement culture under Trump. We don't want our friends and colleagues grabbed off the street; we don't want our gardeners and caregivers terrorized.
We know everything is too expensive right now and we know that we are being squeezed out of financial equality right now. But we also know that is not the fault of the poor or people of color. We know it is the fault of billionaires (and the AI used to fire hundreds of thousands of workers so they can make even more money) and the politicans like Trump who cater to them. We know that's what needs to change.
Tax the billionaires until they realize the joy (and sanity) of moderation. Have sane and just border control and immigration regulation. Don't separate innocent families and incarcerate them. Don't shoot protesters. Are we ready to turn that page? YES We are ready for a kinder, more equal and financially fair country, starting with a Becerra Era here at home. VOTE BLUE in November.

Thank you to Pope Leo for addressing the immense danger AI poses to humanity. It should not be entrusted to billionaires. President Biden put executive orders in place to protect Americans from AI while it was in development, mirroring Europe's AI Safety Bill, but President Trump tossed that out and is allowing for zero regulation of this industry. AI for humanity didn't happen. It's AI against humanity as long as it is in the hands of people driven by greed rather than altruism. Lost jobs, dubious products that harm people and decimated war zones is the first result of AI deployment in the West. In China, workers cannot be replaced by AI, period. VOTE BLUE in November for a new Congress that will protect human workers here in the USA too. We need an AI Economic Plan and an AI Safety Plan. AI must be regulated by people who serve others instead of simply profit off of others. News items posted in the comments.
