Lizzie came into our lives when William was born. We had two kids 18 months apart, both Erik and I were working full-time, and we needed help.
What we got was Lizzie.
Over the years, we spent a lot of time figuring things out together. There were plenty of messy situations, last-minute pivots, hard seasons, funny seasons, and all the random things that happen when youāre doing life alongside someone so closely.
One of the things I love most about Lizzie is that sheās completely herself. Sheās funny, loud, deeply faithful, and never seems too concerned with doing things the way youāre āsupposedā to do them.
She also has a soft spot for babies (and comfy things). More than once, Iād walk in and find her still sitting in the glider with a snoozing baby long after a nap had started. She saw kids who needed to be held. And instead of putting them in the crib, she held them.
Thatās Lizzie. She leads with her heart.
This pair is named for Lizzie because sheās left her mark on our family in a hundred ways, most of them quiet and ordinary. The kind of impact you donāt always notice while itās happening, but canāt imagine your story without later.
Weāre so grateful for the years, the memories, and the love she poured into our family. And even after the paycheck ended, she keeps showing up. Lizzie Adams
We love you, Lizzie. š
