“Don’t be so locked into your plan that you miss the opportunity.” Really applies to just about everything. The plan is important, but don’t give it so much weight that you aren’t willing to change when called. Because I promise the plan will change on you anyways. And most of it is make believe anyways. See those doors and run through them. Bring your people with you. 💃

Trying something new this time by adding all to site ahead of launch so you can see the collection. They are there now and will be available for purchase tomorrow @ 10am.

A little keeping it real because I’ve shared a lot of the good stuff lately. And it IS good. I’m really fulfilled by this decision and excited about what I’m building.

But I also think the best part of social media is when we actually get vulnerable and talk about the parts that are harder. When we create connection around the challenges and learn from each other. Normalize the good and the not so good. Talk about it openly.

And there have definitely been some challenges and learnings.

A lot of figuring out what I want this to become. And apparently a lot of untangling things I didn’t realize were so ingrained in me - titles, productivity, validation, wanting the gold star, wanting people to think I’m good at this.

None of these things make me question the decision. They’re just part of figuring out a completely new version of work and success. A different lifestyle and value definition.

So sharing a little more of the messy middle today.

Including photographic evidence that I am not nearly as put together as this feed would have you believe. 😂

A minimalist collection to give permission to simplify, slow down and lean into those rich earth tones, golds and dark hues. Something a little less loud but still a statement. A practice in refinement. Available on my site Thursday, Aug 27 @ 10a. These do go fast as they are all one of a kind. Enjoy, my classy ladies!

I’ve been thinking a lot about how different my work looks now, and how surprisingly familiar so much of it feels.

For 14+ years, I worked in advertising, surrounded by creative people and big ideas. I learned how to take something from a thought scribbled on a page to something real. How to advocate for creative work. How to listen to clients. How to build brands, launch things, solve problems, pivot when something isn’t working, and keep going when the answer isn’t obvious.

Now I’m using those same muscles in a completely different way.

And maybe the part I appreciate most: the relationships came with me, too.

People I met through my first career continue to show up in this one - buying work, commissioning pieces, making introductions, sharing opportunities, offering advice, or simply cheering me on. Noticing that my light is a little brighter and genuinely enjoying experiencing the journey unfold with me.

There are definitely things I’m learning from scratch. But I’m realizing more and more that I didn’t walk away from one career and start over.

I built on it.

And I really love that. Even if there are some things that truly are irreplaceable. Like the time with your favorite people, silly office antics and that wild day you all survived together.

Loving these new creations. Minimalism has been a struggle for me. But in a good way. Teaching me to pull back a bit and giving me clues that my true style will always try to be loud. So I’m doing a little of both in this drop. ☺️Very excited to also announce 📣 that some of my work will be available for in person shopping in Cara Cooley, a new modern boutique in downtown Belmont opening this fall! I’ll keep selling online as well but excited for this opportunity to add physical shopping to this journey. ✨

If you are fabulous enough to name your French bulldogs Agnes & Harriet, you are fabulous enough to have them commissioned sitting on a pink couch. This was the MOST fun and now I’m dying to meet these ladies IRL. Liz Kelly thank you for this thrill

Leaning into rich and neutral colors, new hardware and dainty/more every day pieces this fall. Minimalist drop coming to my site Thursday, Aug. 27. I have some other fun announcements to share this week as doors continue to open and new partnerships emerge. ✨

I’m not sure what I am anymore… painter, jewelry maker, sculptor, marketer. One thing leads to the next and instead of telling myself “no. That’s not what you do…” I just try it on. And if that seems to feel right then I keep going. And if it doesn’t, I learn something there too. All clues helping me find my style and niche. Even if right now that niche is…a little of everything.
