Very excited to announce my upcoming show titled “TRANSMISSIONS - Dialogues between space & matter”

The path leading to this point has been filled with many challenges, obstacles, ups and downs, and everything in between. But the thing that has allowed me to continue to push through over the last year to get to this point has been devotion. A little over a year ago I made a commitment to myself to go all in on my art. Art has been central to my life since I was a kid. Over the decades I have gone in and out of being in the art world directly but have always been connected to it. Every time I found myself at a transition in my life, I reflect, and in those moments of reflection it has always been the same thing that arises, the same thing that the deepest part of my being calls for - art. And so this time around it was finally time to devote myself fully to this calling.

With that being said, I’ve poured my heart into the work I’ve created over the last year leading up to this show. These works explore the dialogue between presence and absence, form and void, meaning and mystery. They are artifacts for contemplation, inviting you to have a conversation with the unknown.

It’s going to be an amazing weekend filled with special musical performances starting off on Friday with DJ TreeJay and flowing into Saturday with live music from Trayambakam. There will be an Elixir bar serving specialty cocktails inspired by the themes of the work all weekend.

To make this event even more special I will be raffling off one of my original works. Tickets will be available at the show as well as on my website for those who want to pre-purchase or can’t make it.

More details about the show itself, the music, the artwork being raffled, raffle ticket purchases, etc. can be found on my website.

The aim of this piece was to capture movement whilst simultaneously remaining still. Like moonlit ripples emerging from dark waters, thoughts arise and dissolve while the depths remain unchanged.

As with much of my work, I don’t know exactly what direction it will take. Sometimes I may have a general sense, other times I begin in complete darkness. The process therefore is always a practice in trust and surrender. When that happens, you experience a direct connection with the work and it begins to reveal where it wants to go. It’s an act of deep listening.

Your hands divine the language of matter - what emerges is not merely created, but awakened. A silent conversation between what is and what has always been waiting to come.

“ORIGINS” is a meditation on the fundamental building blocks of life and consciousness. Composed entirely of raw charcoal fragments arranged in a dense, dynamic field, the work explores carbon as both material and metaphor - the elemental substance from which all organic life emerges. The charcoal itself carries deep significance - transformed by fire, it represents matter in a state of elemental change. These fragments, arranged in organized chaos, mirror the processes of the universe itself - the way carbon is transformed through heat and pressure, the way life emerges from basic elements. As an homage to the primary material used throughout my work, “ORIGINS” makes visible the substance that usually remains hidden within the final piece. It reveals the raw material in its pure state, celebrating carbon as both the physical and metaphysical foundation of existence.

This piece is paired with a custom made frame finished with a traditional Japanese technique called shou sugi ban. This ancient technique preserves wood by charring it.

“TEMPLE OF THE MOON”

Wax and charcoal on wood panel
48”x72”

This is the largest piece to date. Weighing over 150 lbs, it is made entirely of wax and charcoal. Its origin took place on the same day of the solar eclipse in 24’. As above so below.

We are carbon based life forms, so this piece contains a deep aspect of ourselves, reflecting our physical nature. The circle represents the infinite, only revealing itself upon the light.

The golden sphere, like a philosopher’s stone, transforms the mundane into the profound through its mere presence, inviting the observer into a silent communion with self.

Sand represents time, malleability, and the raw material of creation. Concrete represents human intervention, the solidification of fluid possibilities into permanent form. Their relationship creates a harmonious tension: the fixed and the flowing, the permanent and the ephemeral.
