Hello,

We are reaching out to you to officially announce the return of 12 Minutes Max Bellingham 2026 and we would love for your students or members to be a part of the show! 12 Minutes Max is a showcase giving artists the opportunity to perform a piece. The only rule is that it must be 12 minutes or less!.

Last year we had the honor of bringing back 12 Minutes Max Bellingham for the first time since 2020. We greatly enjoyed working with 23 incredible performers and we were overjoyed to have sold out both shows!

We would love the opportunity to work with any of your interested individuals/students/members and we would appreciate your help with spreading the word to any performing artists you know. The auditions are open to all ages, levels, and art forms (such as dance, theater, music, film, & performing arts).

The performances will be held at the Firehouse Arts & Events Center, September 25th-26th . Below is a link to the audition information.

Call for Artists: Join us for 12 Minutes Max Bellingham 2026!

Hello,
We are thrilled to announce that 12 Minutes Max Bellingham is officially scheduled for September 25 & 26, 2026! Over the coming weeks, we will be reaching out to creators and organizations to help us gather the incredible talent the arts have to offer.

This unique showcase provides a platform for artists of all ages, levels, and disciplines—including dance, theater, music, film, and performance art—to share original works of 12 minutes or less.

Key Submission Details:
• Format: Video auditions are required.
• Deadline: Submissions must be received by August 20, 2026.
• Selection: Pieces will be adjudicated by experienced local performers based on quality and variety.
• Performance Dates: September 25th & 26th, 2026.
• Venue: The Firehouse Arts & Events Center, Bellingham, WA.

Note: To best accommodate the intimate stage at the Firehouse, we recommend group sizes of 8 performers or fewer.

We would love to see your work on stage! Please consider auditioning or sharing this opportunity with your students, members, and colleagues.

12 Minutes Max originated in 1981 at On the Boards in Seattle and now takes place in various cities including Seattle, Vancouver, B.C., Chicago, Houston, Bellingham, Salt Lake City, and Spokane.
The showcase functions as a performance laboratory—a space where both emerging and established artists test new ideas and present works-in-progress or completed pieces in a supportive, low-tech environment.
The typical format is a curated or audition-based event, often with a panel of community curators, and participants receive a small honorarium or fee for their work.

We are reaching out to local artists to spread the word about the return of 12 Minutes Max Bellingham! 12 Minutes Max is a showcase giving artists the opportunity to perform a piece that is 12 minutes or less. The auditions are open to all ages, levels, and art forms (such as dance, theater, music, film, & performing arts). We would love to have any interested individuals/students/members audition, and we would appreciate your help with spreading the word to any other performing artists you may know! All auditions will be video submissions due by August 20, 2025. Auditions will be adjudicated by experienced, local performing artists. Pieces will be chosen based on quality and variety. The performances will take place September 12th & 13th at the Firehouse Arts & Events Center in Bellingham.
The showcase will be held at the Firehouse Arts & Events Center. Please keep in mind that stage space will be limited. We would recommend having 8 artists or less for a group number.
