Hey…so… Atly, our resident Giant Pacific Octopus, is actually a male GPO!

We’re actually very proud of this mistake because it proves that we really allowed Atly to acclimate to his temporary environment enough to let loose.

He’s getting more comfortable by the day and we’re keeping up the important work of educating while learning a few things along the way.

Thank you for helping us slowly welcome Atly to the Marine Life Center.

If you’re a more tactile learner we have a new activity in the center that you’ll really love. Our touch shelf is an exciting way to feel the many textures of the Salish Sea!

As always, our staff are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Does anyone know what shell they are touching in this video?
