I’ve been working on some new stuff that I haven’t put up on the Etsy shop yet. There’s a stitch I really like that I am working everything into for now. And I am trying working with reusable materials. One of the things I learned from Darn Good Yarn is that just about anything can be yarn, so when I was getting ready to toss out or donate old scarves because they were falling apart or not me anymore I decided cut them in strips and see what I could do with them. This is one piece that I have been working on.

I’m not sure what this cream project will end up being. A scarf? A little pouch? A purse? But I like how the stitches are turning out. I am alternating a star stitch with what I call a broken shell stitch. The yellow project is all star stitch and is a twisted infinity neck/head scarf. That turned out nicely, too. Except I had to knot together several bits of yarn so it’s not the tidiest bit of crochet work.
