Who’s excited for opening night?
Shoestring Circus is back on the waterfront for another season of spectacular shows.
This all-human circus brings a classic big top experience to Washington State. Rooted in Bellingham, the show tours each summer to Olympia, Puyallup, Vancouver, and Port Townsend. Featuring world-class circus artists, acrobatics, and theatrical storytelling, Shoestring Circus blends vintage charm with a modern, imaginative production under the tent.

Joining us in Dreamland - Eric James

Eric is a multidisciplinary artist skilled in juggling, acrobatic dance, artistic design, clown, and youth circus instruction. They have toured all three seasons with the Shoestring Circus, featured frequently with the Bellingham Circus Guild, performed internationally as part of comedic duo Figmentally, on the water with Flotsam River Circus, and have appeared in Seattle’s famed Moisture Festival. They spent 15 years as a lead instructor and director of Circo Latino Circus Institute of New Mexico, and contribute to the Bellingham arts scene as a Lookout Arts Quarry board member and lead producer of the local mainstay Sh’BANG arts + music + circus festival.

Joining us in Dreamland - Fleuriane Cornet

Born in 1998 in Beauvais, France she began her circus training at a young age in La Batoude. She then enrolled in the circus arts program at the Châtellerault high school, where she explored several disciplines before specializing in acrobatic cycling. After graduating from high school, she joined the National Circus Arts Center in Châlons-en-Champagne. Since graduating in 2020, she has worked with various companies in France, including La Cie l’Oublie (Raphaelle Boitelle), Cheptel Aleïkoum, and Cie FURINKAI (Satchie Noro). She has also been working for the past three winters in the United States with Cirque du Soleil in the show "Twas the Night Before…," and will return there again this winter.

Bellingham…our hometown crowd filled the tent early.

Dreamland has officially sold out ahead of opening weekend, and we’re honestly a little stunned by the response. The support this community continues to show our little circus means more to us than we can say.

Because of the demand we’re now looking into the possibility of adding additional performances. If it happens, we’ll announce it here first.

For local folks still hoping to make it in, we can usually release a small number of no-show seats at the tent just before performances begin. Come by if you can!
