The Birthday Jam was started by Scott Sprague and some friends who all had birthday's in the months of January and February. The first Jam was in February of 1978 @ the Avenue Social Club (now Crawford insurance) on Fairfield Ave. in Bellevue. Throughout the years the Jam changed venues, Jim's Fill Inn, (now Miller's Fill Inn), then moved to the Bellevue Vets. Many great musicians have played @ Sc
ott's Jam, to many to mention. The last Birthday Jam under Scott's direction was in February of 2010. After a few years of talks, Jerry Rardin and Sean Sprague (Scott's Son) who have been friends and played in bands together since 1993 decided to carry on the tradition. The month has changed since their birthday's are March 10th and 20th, but the tradition of getting great friends and musicians together once a year will carry on. 2013 was their first year of hosting the Jam and will continue until the torch is passed down to the 3rd generation. Thank you to Scott and his birthday friends for starting what was and will continue to be a great event for years to come.
