world. We are a community-centered festival dedicated to sharing and celebrating the richness of Mesoamerican Indigenous heritage. Core Values for Fiesta del Maíz:

• Sacred Acknowledgment of Maiz: Maiz is treated as sacred and celebrated as a foundational Indigenous achievement and cultural cornerstone.
• Cultural Education & Empowerment: Educating the community about maíz and the diverse Indigenous cultures of Mesoamerica, emphasizing pre-colonial history and contributions.
• Artistic Expression & Heritage: Encourage, center, and feature pre-colonial Mesoamerican culture and maíz-inspired arts to share artistic expression and preserve cultural narratives.
