It is widely “rumored” that Fleetwood Mac was going to have Tommy Bolin be the opening act for their 1977 “Rumours” stadium tour. This was how it looked in Boulder. Tommy was “next”.
Two years later his manager collected the delayed million dollar life insurance payout from 2 $500,000 policies (verified by a high up employee). In June he convinced Tommy to sign over the $500,000 one earmarked for his parents.
As a side note color copiers had just come out and Tommy Bolin Archives co-founder Michael Drumm had access to a press box pass from a friend. (seen in this photo) So off to Kinkos to make a fake one. It worked.
