🧡 Meet Cassandra Johnston, CEO.
Cassandra originally joined our organization as Vice President of Operations & Finance, bringing extensive experience in financial management, nonprofit operations and organizational leadership. She now serves as CEO, continuing to guide the organization with a focus on stability, accountability and long-term sustainability.
✨ Her financial background includes budget analysis, cash-flow forecasting, comprehensive financial reviews and improving the systems organizations rely on to make responsible, informed decisions. She also serves as a Community Advisor on Woodland Park Zoo’s Finance and Audit Committee, previously served as Treasurer for Coyote Central and works independently as a financial services consultant.
Cassandra also founded Tutors Impacting Public Schools and served as its Executive Director for more than five years, helping sustain and expand tutoring programs for public-school students while managing fundraising, board development and day-to-day business operations.
🧡 That combination of financial knowledge and nonprofit leadership shapes how Cassandra approaches this chapter. For her, responsible stewardship is not simply about balancing a budget. It is about creating the structure, transparency and partnerships an organization needs to serve its community and continue serving it well into the future.
As Cassandra shares:
“My greatest belief is in the power of partnerships. When people come together for a common good or goal, the impact is magnified and can be sustained.”
As CEO, Cassandra is helping strengthen the foundation beneath work, & create clearsystems that are required to sustain the work over time.
