Mayesfest- Bellevue KY Bluegrass Music Festival Focused on American Roots, and Bluegrass music, set on the banks of the Ohio River, Mayesfest is an

Bluegrass, a form of American roots music, was inspired by the music of Appalachia. It has mixed roots in Scottish, Welsh, Irish and English traditional music, and also later influenced by the music of African-Americans through incorporation of jazz elements. Historically held at the Bellevue Beach Park, (except for that one year it rained for six days straight and we had to move it inside! Lol) M

ayesfest has been on a hiatus for a few years but hopefully some year soon we will bring it back home. Festivities will include live music, a variety of food, beverages and merchandise vendors. Banger Mayes, a long time resident of Grants Lick Kentucky has traveled almost every State in the Union in support and appreciation of Bluegrass & American Roots Music. In that vein we wish to host a festival in his honor and in his own backyard.

Nope... not much has changed on our end.. we still hope to bring Mayesfest back to the amazing little city of Bellevue KY.. in the one of the sweetest parks we've ever seen.. but it might be a minute.. lol Just wanted to say that.. ala we've not forgotten you!
