We had a wonderful skating family do a family reunion here at Skate City Bellevue! We were amazed at how many skated and could actually skate! Then we found out why they could …this is their story…

The Randall Family skating history began when Grandma Randall was overwhelmed with the idea of taking a bunch of rowdy cub scouts skating for an activity. She asked Grandpa to accompany her to help reign the boys in. Grandpa didn’t often take Grandma on dates, but he told her after that activity that if she wanted to go skating for dates, he would like that. They began attending skating lessons, then teaching the lessons themselves, eventually managing the rink in Centerville, Utah. Later they moved to Logan, Utah and ran the Logan Roller Rink until their retirement. They spent years teaching generations how to skate and provided hours of enjoyment, exercise, and entertainment. Generations later, we are still benefiting from that fateful scouting activity! Seen here are Grandpa's oldest son and his wife with all of their 12 children and a smattering of in-laws, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. As part of our family reunion, we decided roller skating was the most appropriate way to celebrate those that came before us and continue the legacy.
