Greetings and salutations my glass vultures!

I know I’ve been MIA for a while now, even though I keep making glass. As you may be aware, I am a medical mystery/mess and having three doctors appointments in a single week leaves little time for making glass, let alone social media. 🤦‍♀️

I have deeply enjoyed making pretties and thank every last person who has supported my business and helped me get to a more stable financial situation. I feel like I owe you an update/plan for streamlining my life going forward because this “waves her hands around” isn’t working.

Scrappy Girl Glassworks isn’t closing! Etsy will remain open. I will just be making less and spending more time on finding the magic between my medical flairs. Because let’s face it, what’s the point of killing yourself in order to pay the bills. I need to learn to pace myself. As such, glass will no longer be my driving force, enjoying what time I have left on the spinning globe will be. Let’s face it, I’m over 50 and tomorrow isn’t promised to anyone.

I may post here from time to time (because I absolutely love you all) and I will list any upcoming events for the business, but with the cost of materials doubling and tripling, and online sales being down due to the economy it is time for me to reinvent myself….

Many of you came here because you followed my homestead page, which let’s be honest, after 14 years, isn’t me anymore either and as such over the next few months that page will become quieter as well.

But fear not my friends, this is not goodbye! This is the beginning of something new, bringing everything I love to one page (a blending). So if you want to stay in touch and still see glass and so much more I am inviting you all to come follow my new page.

I love when a customer asks for something unique and out of the ordinary…. Like an elbow macaroni to celebrate the coming birth of a great grand child! Noodle’s parents were delighted and it was all caught on video. 💕 And this is why I love making pretties.

Okay my lovelies, I’ve gotten darn near everything listed! Sorry for the delay, but as I’ve said before, your girl is a medical hot mess. Though I’m trying to get it together!

Yesterday’s appointment with general surgery was less then stellar and while imaging is getting scheduled, I’ll be find someone else to cut me if need be. 😉

As for the glass…. The gorgeous glass… It can all be yours with the click of an Etsy button! 😂 I will begin highlighting all the new and wonderful pieces this week, like these stunners. 😉

Check out this eye grabbing Straw Hat Pirates Jolly Rogger from the series One Piece. This large piece measures 8”x8” and produces a stunning reflection. 💕

I’ve also got another large 8”x8” piece of Oggie Boogie available just in time for Halloween.

I know it’s been dead quiet since FOO, but unfortunately I’ve been dealing with a new medical emergency and hopefully will be having surgery in a week. I’ve got a couple more pieces to get listed today (as I’m on bed rest) but my Etsy shop is open. If something tickles your fancy, please order before Thursday as I’m tentatively on next Friday’s operation schedule and will most likely be down a few days after. I’ll post again when the last ten designs are up. 😉

Is my Etsy back open? Yes! Is it fully stocked? Not even close! 🤦‍♀️😂 I’ve still got about fifty+ more pieces to go.

I’m exhausted. My health comes first. So, I will be releasing the rest as I get them photographed and the listings written over the next couple weeks, so look for new release drops. 😉 I will have more Halloween, Cryptids, jewelry, and 3D items available soon!

Now to make a Sammy, crawl in bed, and rest for a bit. 💕

Well a shudder was just felt in the stained glass world as Kokomo Opalescent Glass, started 1888 (making it the oldest and longest manufacturer of stained glass in America) has shut down production. 😢 After 137 years, the furnaces will go cold.

Their dedication to hand mixing and pouring will be deeply missed, as the quality of their glass has stood the test of time. I will forever cherish this antique sign I personally wrestled off the wall with a screwdriver at a barn sale a few years back. It’s so hard to believe no more Kokomo. 😭

Okay, I got the truck unloaded! I’ve started doing inventory! My living room is a mess. 🤦‍♀️😂

I sold out of a few new designs or was left with a little of this and that. I’m trying to get it all organized and listed on Etsy. While I won’t be able to photograph and list all of it by Friday, I should have the majority of it done. So keep your eyes out for the reopening.

I will continue to add new pieces as I get them photographed. Also if you were looking for Ghostface, a bloody kitchen knife or a Lord or the rings brooch, I sold out, but I WILL be making more. 💕

Let spooky season begin! (On Friday 🤷‍♀️) 😂
