Educated in the sciences, I spent two decades as a biological researcher. I loved the work. Working in basic research is a wonderful job, with a great deal of intellectual freedom. Science at it's core, done properly and honestly, is a search for truth. My work now is not so different in many aspects, though the goal is to create beauty, beautiful glass pieces which I send to galleries or carry to art fairs around the country. So my working life ultimately has been about truth and beauty. I don't know really how it ended up this way.
