What a great way to start a day!
With our new studio concept, we don’t keep “office hours” but when an artist is available, we tend to get work done in the studio (it’s our happy place). Have you been by but found the lights out? We hope you’ll try again but the good news is that we are planning to be open one weekend every month for your enjoyment.

🎉 Congratulations to our talented artist, Chad Travous, on the recent sale of 14 handcrafted pottery pieces to a single collector! 🎉

Whether it’s a dependable dinner plate for everyday meals or something special for date night, Chad’s handcrafted artisan dinnerware is designed to make every meal a little more memorable.

“I create the setting for memorable dinners.” — Chad Travous

Every piece Chad creates is thoughtfully designed with the user in mind. From bowls with textured exteriors that feel comfortable in your hands to plates that provide a calm canvas for your culinary creations, each form balances beauty with function. His mugs feature rich glaze interactions and earthy colors inspired by the natural world.

Deeply influenced by forests, rivers, and the quiet beauty of nature, Chad’s work reflects the textures of bark and driftwood, the twisting lines of roots and vines, and the calming colors of moss and stone. It’s no surprise that his pottery often features warm neutrals accented with natural greens.

A lifelong resident of the Greater St. Louis Metro East, Chad grew up in Belleville and continues to create pieces that bring artistry and craftsmanship into everyday life.

Stop by The Grumpy Grizzly and discover Chad’s beautiful collection, along with the work of more than 50 local artists, all under one roof!
